My goal with this blog is to share some of my FAVORITE eateries, that I’ve discovered during some traveling.

During a recent trip to Cozumel, Mexico, I was taken to Hacienda Las Iguanas. This quaint, restaurant/bar sits right off the main road, making it easy access. As soon as you walk into this open aired, bright & cheery establishment, you feel the warmth & hospitality you’re about to receive. You’ll be greeted by Leslie, who will take great care of you.

Hacienda Las Iguanas was established in 2014, by owner Benito Pina Olivares & his wife Lucia Tapia Escalante. Mr. Olivares moved from Xochimilco, Mexico City 36 years ago with his wife & 3 sons, Oscar, Adrian & Benito. He first opened Sr Iguanas on the east side of island. A very hard & dedicated worker, with great success, he then opened Hacienda Las Iguanas on south side in 2014.

If what you are looking for is an authentic Mexican restaurant with excellent food, Hacienda Las Iguanas will give you exactly that. I can guarantee it’ll be the best food you've ever had.

A must order is Leslie’s margaritas. 🍹Hands down, she makes the best on the whole island 🏝. While waiting for your fresh, homemade food, you can take your drink & partake in SIP & DIP. Adjacent to the eating area is a pool, some lounge chairs & hammocks to choose from, so bring your swimsuit.
